Golden Milk: Benefits and Recipe

In the last few years turmeric has grown in popularity due to its amazing health benefits such as aiding in digestion and reducing painful inflammation. The newest secret weapon that utilizes this powerful herb: Golden Milk. But it turns out that this new trend has roots in ancient Ayurveda Medicine. This yellow powder has been used for thousands of years in Southeast Asia to flavor popular curry dishes and for its' medicinal properties.

Golden Milk blends several other warming herbs like ginger and cinnamon to give the body an immunity boost while cooling the inflamed joints with turmeric and milk. Here is our favorite recipe:
1 Cup Almond milk
1/2 Cup Coconut milk⠀
1 Tsp Turmeric
1/2 Tsp Ginger
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon⠀
1/4 Tsp Cardamom
1/4 Tsp Anise
Pinch of Black Pepper
1 Tbs Honey
Place all ingredients in saucepan on a medium flame. Heat until just before boiling. Strain into a cup and enjoy before bedtime! Recommended once a week for maximum benefits.
